Dog Walks in Cambridgeshire
We all love taking our dogs for walks, to unwind ourselves and also to let them blow off a little steam and have some fun.
Here we have made a list of places you may not have been to give you a little bit of variety when on your dog walks.
If you have any suggestions please let us know.
Milton Country Park
Milton country park is a popular place for dog walkers. There are signs to say where dogs must be kept on lead but there also areas where dogs can run free. There are lots of good facilities, toilets, a small cafe, benches, children's park, litter and dog bins. The park can get very busy at weekends, weekdays are much quieter. It's a lovely place for an afternoon stroll with a couple of lakes for a doggy paddle but watch out for the swans who get grumpy if they are disturbed.

Lady's Walk - Huntingdon - Cambridgeshire
Board on entrance to wood showing a map of the paths running through the wood and round the outside. Not near any roads so dogs can be off lead. Can get a bit muddy in the winter. Easiest access is via the Upwood Meadows nature reserve which also has a free car park.

Upwood Meadows - Cambridgshire
Off road car park. Board map in car park of the nature reserve showing the different paths and routes. Animals grazed on the land during the summer so dogs need to be kept on leads during these times, otherwise they can be off lead. Walk round the outside of the reserve takes about 30 - 45mins however other walk options are available, such as parking here and walking through the reserve and on to Lady's Wood, another nature reserve.

Archers Wood - Cambridgeshire
Woodland walk. Can be muddy in the winter. Park on verge along road. Easy access from the A1
St Judiths Ln, Sawtry, Huntingdon PE28, UK
Chivers Lake - Impington
Nice walk around lake, no on lead areas but do need to be careful along guided busway side as fencing is poor. Not a problem if your dog has good recall. It's perfect during summer as it's safe for dogs to swim. There is a large field next to the Holiday Inn hotel which you can get to from the lake. Perfect for a ball game or game of chase with other dogs. My dog loves it there.
